The Men’s Ministry of Greeley Wesleyan Church exists, not to fix your problems, but rather to help bring you into relationship with other men on the same journey as you – AND with the God who desires to work within you – so that you may become the man He created you to be. Scripture says, As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Contrary to conventional wisdom men weren’t created to be isolated cave dwellers. They actually thrive and are stronger when they connect and do life with a few trusted friends.
There are several ways our men’s ministry seeks to assist you with making these vital connections with other men:
Cabin Fever provides monthly activities for men. Most of these get-togethers are designed as a way for guys to get to know one another while having fun and, engaging in activities they enjoy with other men. Sometimes members of their own families are included. Past events have included skeet shooting, golf tourneys, father /daughter dances, date nights, and paintball.
Men’s Bible studies are offered each semester:
Wednesdays from 6:30-7:45pm and Thursdays at 9:00am-10:30am
Man to Man Discipleship
As Jesus promised, God shows up when two men get together for spiritual conversation. O.K. -no one wants to be told what ‘he ought to do’ or be asked a series of ‘accountability’ questions, that’s not discipleship. It’s not about someone being wiser than us. It is all about shared journey and God working to shape our lives when two brothers get together. Some guys will get together for a cup of coffee and open their Bibles, others will take a bike ride and stop at a park bench, some play a game of golf together and talk on the course. Want to travel with another brother? Contact Pastor Eric at email@example.com.
Take a break from it all to recharge and refocus with the men of Greeley Wesleyan Church. You’ll worship with other men, be challenged and strengthened in your relationship with Jesus and yes, eat some great food! This is an overnight event that is held on a Friday evening to Saturday morning and ends with a great brunch.
